Recovery and Resilience Workshop comes to Canowindra
The Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW (RFCS NSW) will be presenting a free workshop in February to help farmers and small business owners deal with the loss of income from the 2022 floods and how to minimise their impact. To be held at the Services Club at Canowindra on February 14, the two-hour workshop will be interactive and practical – aimed to provide attendees with information both about financial and mental health resilience.
Philip Worrad will be a guest speaker from the Rural Advisory Mental Health Program and will present a tailored presentation about mental health management, how best to support one another and ways to build resilience. The financial aspect of the workshop will be presented by RFCS NSW’s Geoff Lisle who spent much of his career in banking prior to becoming a financial counsellor. Geoff is a seasoned presenter and is looking forward to sharing tips and support about how locals can better plan, manage their finances and better cope with loss of income during the recovery from natural disasters.
Geoff will be joined by local Rural Financial Counsellor, Danielle Davenport. Danielle serves the Orange, Cabonne and Parkes LGAs.
