Native Grass and Cultural Walk at Garra

Join us for a walk through the Garra TSR, identifying native grasses, priority weeds and areas of local cultural significance

  • Sue Wakefield (Landcare) and Phil Cranny (CTLLS) will help you identify native grasses-the good & the bad.
  • Greg Ingram, (Orange LALC) will point out areas of historic and contemporary cultural significance.
  • Learn how the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust can help you protect biodiversity on your property.

NB There will be a shoe wash as we leave the TSR as part of biosecurity measures due to the presence of Chilean Needle Grass on the site. We will be walking on uneven terrain so be sure to wear sturdy enclosed shoes and dress for the weather. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Meet at the Garra Fire Shed before proceeding to the TSR.
