Molong Library Storytime

Storytime at Molong Library is lots of fun! We read stories, play games and make craft. Storytime sessions will resume on Friday 7 February at 11.15am and will be held every week. The sessions cater for preschool aged children and their carers. This term we will be highlighting Science in all our stories and activities.

 

Give your budding young Einstein a head-start with Molong Library’s special science-themed Storytime sessions each Friday at 11.15 during School Term 1.

 

Molong Librarian Emma Flemming said the recent Science Storytime training for Central West Libraries staff and others around the region was inspiring.

 

"Science is a part of everyday life. We’ve learnt from the experts at the Children’s Discovery Education Centre how to best introduce these concepts to young children to spark their interest in science from an early age,” Emma said

 

 “Research shows stimulating and playful experiences develop children’s confidence, communication, collaboration creativity and can-do attitude.”

 

“Storytime Science is a hands-on science and literacy program that makes a wonderful addition to Molong Library’s activities.”

 

 “It will be lots of fun guaranteed. The sessions will combine book reading with hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities like engaging experiments and crafts that relate to the characters or themes in the book.”  Emma said.
