Canowindra Historical Museum Open Day

The Canowindra Historical Society and Museum Incorporated invite you to experience the past at their open day on Saturday, 30th September from 10am to 2pm.

Bring your family along for a warm welcome and a day filled with nostalgia, all at no cost. Experience the charm of history while indulging in a delightful sausage sizzle at the museum.

Explore the Shepherd's Hut, one of the oldest standing buildings in our district and unearth the curriculum and rules that governed the early 1900s students and teachers back in 1872.

At 2pm, six more pre-1901 pioneer families will be honoured by unveiling their plaques on the Pioneer Wall: Boardman, Border, Dooley, Fliedner, Icely, and Matheson. This will bring the total number of commemorations to 113.
