Australia Day in Cabonne 2024
All Cabonne towns and villages will host Australia Day activities this year.
This year, Cabonne's Australia Day Ambassador is Keith Potger AO, an Australian musician, and a founding member of the Australia folk-pop group The Seekers. https://www.keithpotger.com/https://www.keithpotger.com/
Food, refreshments, competitions, family fun, and award presentations will feature at events across the shire.
There will also be free entry to all of the pools in Cabonne for the day!

Yeoval Memorial Hall, 6pm - 8pm
A 2-course meal will be served on local Australia Day awards recipients will be announced.
Guest speaker will be Mr Keith Potger AO

Australia Day Train from Orange
Why not travel with Lachlan Valley Railway to Manildra or Parkes on Australia Day
Settle back as you travel at a leisurly pace through the beautiful Central West countryside to the small town of Manildra, the gem of the west! At Manildra you'll have two venues to choose to dine at for lunch - The Amusu Theatre or Royal Hotel. If Manildra isn't long enough for you and you would like to spend more time onboard, the train will continue to Parkes where you will have a couple of hours to explore as you wish before returning back to Orange. Come early and enjoy a steak sandwich or a sausage from the Lions Club.
Raffles will be drawn and winner of the Gelato Contest will be announced.
Cargo Australia Day
Cargo Village Green, 10.30am - 12pm
Australia Day Award presentations followed by refreshments.
