Council staff have been able to repair the water main issues following damage that occurred during flood debris removal work undertaken by
Transport for NSW on the Mitchell Highway last week.
Council wishes to advise that it will take a period of time for water services to return to normal operating conditions.
The
community may notice additional flushing of water lines, and Molong residents may experience possible changes in taste of water as the water supply in the network transitions back.
Water from the Molong Water Treatment Plant is tested daily, complies with Australian drinking water guidelines, and is safe for consumption.
Council wishes to thank Molong, Cumnock, and Yeoval residents for reducing water use over the last week, and request this be continued until early next week when it is expected water services will have returned to normal.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this disruption.
