drumMUSTER is the National program for the collection and recycling of eligible non-returnable crop production and animal health product chemical containers from manufacturers participating in the Industry Waste Reduction Scheme (IWRS).
drumMUSTER provides an easy, environmentally-friendly way of disposing of empty farming chemical containers across rural Australia. DrumMuster collection compounds are located at each of Cabonne's Waste Management Facilities to allow for the collection service to be highly accessible to farm chemical users.
Chemical users can deliver their clean used containers to these sites during normal opening hours every Wednesday.
All containers will be inspected to ensure they meet the Agsafe cleanliness standard so all chemical users should ensure that their containers:
- Are drumMUSTER eligible (have the drumMUSTER logo attached)
- Are clean and dry
- Are free of chemical residue
- Have all lids removed
- Are punctured if metal
Containers not meeting the Agsafe cleanliness standard will not be accepted.
For more information on rinsing standards, please refer to the ‘Agsafe standard for Effective Rinsing of Farm Chemical containers’ available from your local chemical reseller or check the drumMUSTER website.
